The Art of Connection

The state of well being is an art! What we connect to matters. As human beings, we have a need to connect to something. It’s what brings joy into our lives. Unfortunately, people do connect to the wrong things in life. They may connect with drugs and alcohol which leads to addictions. These addictions only destroy your mind and physical body. A state of well being is non existent when it comes to addictions.

The greatest connection to have is to have a connection with God, and your mind and physical body will follow. When I say connect to God, I am talking about having a prayer life. Talk to God on a daily basis. Meditate.

Prayer/meditation and reading scriptures is so important for your mental health as well as your physical health. There has to be a balance between the mind and the body. Only God can help guide your mental and physical health. We cannot do it alone. Although, many people do try to do everything on their own without divine help. I think which is why so many end up living life in isolation.

The art of well being and being connected starts with a good routine. Have a routine that you can do on a daily basis. Pray first thing in the morning and you will be surprised how well your day starts off. Talking with God first thing in the morning will set your mind on a positive course for the day. Prayer and talking with God eliminates harmful stress and puts your mind and attitude in a positive direction. Then after prayer, read some scriptures and then exercise. Prayer, scripture and exercise goes hand in hand. You are aligning your mind and body in a healthier direction.

I must admit the art of connecting your mind and body can be tricky at times but it’s never impossible. It just takes a little planning and work/life balance to achieve a healthier you. God bless you!
